Diving on Klein Curaçao

A trip to an uninhabited bounty island and diving! That’s all possible on Klein Curaçao. This is also a fantastic trip for those who do not dive.

Get on a modern boat with us, the Mermaid. The boat departs at 7 o’clock from the port on the Spanish Water. After about an hour and a half of sailing you will arrive at this sun-drenched paradise where you can find the whitest beaches and the clearest turquoise sea in the entire Caribbean. Arriving at Klein Curaçao there is first time for a nice breakfast at the fully facilitated beach house on the sheltered west side of the island.

Around 10:00 am our first dive will start on the right (north) of the island. We are then taken with a dinghy to the first dive site. What is so special about diving on Klein Curaçao is not only the incredibly clear water but especially the steep wall that you dive along that runs down to 40 meters. The dive is a drift dive so we will be picked up by the boat again.

After the first dive there is time to relax on the beach or explore the island. There is an old lighthouse and there are several washed-up shipwrecks that you can visit. The barbecue buffet starts around noon.

At 14:00 we will start our second dive on the left (south) of the island. On this side of the island you will find a beautiful hilly reef where you have a good chance of encountering turtles. At 15:20 the boat will leave for Curaçao where you will arrive at the port around 17:00 with a fantastic experience.
